frequently asked questions

  • For now, the FadeControl macOS app is required to use FADE.

We completely understand why many folks don’t like driver apps. We often feel the same way about other products.

The bottom line: FADE is more reliable with an app, and reliability is our North Star.

  • FADE is a professional instrument, not a mass-produced consumer controller.

It's built around a motorized touch-sensitive fader, a high-resolution rotary encoder, and a machined steel enclosure. Every unit is hand-assembled, tested, and shipped by us directly.

We built FADE because the people who spend thousands on converters, preamps, and monitors deserve a controller that feels like it belongs on the same desk.

  • We're focused on our initial US/Canada launch and will plan an international rollout from there.

We can’t wait to be able to ship to you. If you want to get on the international subscriber list, just email us at info@fade.audio

  • We're actively exploring it but don't have a timeline yet.

Windows support may begin with a plug-n-play format where no app is required. While this would result in a smaller feature set compared to Mac, it would still be highly functional.

We encourage emails from interested Windows users via info@fade.audio. Please send us your system details, DAW(s), and intended workflow. This will help us plan our rollout.
